The five heaviest bells were originally installed in the church of http://www.saltfleetby.co.uk/churches%20and%20chapels/St%20Clement.htmSaltfleetby St. Clements', Lincolnshire when that church was rebuilt in 1885. It was made redundant in 1975 and the bells purchased by East Leake to replace their existing three bells. Of the old three bells two were scrapped to defray part of the cost of the new bells and one ultimately was transferred to Oxton where it is now the 4th of 6 bells. In 1977, an additional treble bell was cast to augment the ring at East Leake to 6, marking HM Queen Elizabeth's Jubilee.

The Bells

There are six bells and the heaviest is 7cwt (396kg). They are tuned to major scale in the key of Bb.
