DERBYSHIRE HOUSE RESIDENTIAL CARE HOME

Derbyshire House is a mainly single storey, nineteen bedroom Home catering for elderly persons in need of care. Situated in lovely grounds, The Home is within walking distance of all local amenities and local bus services.

Derbyshire House gives 24 hour care, provided by a well trained dedicated staff group. Currently staff are working toward their NVQ level 2 and 4 in care. The operation of Derbyshire House is monitored by The Commission For Social Care Inspection and inspection reports are readily available for public viewing.

Derbyshire House operates a waiting list of people wishing to become resident in the Home. The waiting list can be lengthy, so if in the future you wish to be considered for residency,it is advisable to submit an application form so that your name can be added to the list.

I would like the residents of Derbyshire House to feel part of the village community. Most of our residents are unable to join in village activities or organisations.
I would welcome anyone in our community, be it an individual, an organisation or a group (eg. playgroups, dance groups, brownies scouts or guides, or local adult groups.), to visit, join in events or hold meetings in the home so that interested residents could join in.
Visitors are welcome at any time. Come and have a coffee or tea with us and find out what we are all about.

As a registered charity, Derbyshire House, holds fund raising events throughout the year. Notice of forthcoming events will be posted on this website.
