Burglaries

Unfortunately there has been an increase in burglaries in the area over the past month, these have occurred on Northfields way overnight on the 1st where entry was gained via an insecure ground floor patio door, another on the 1st on Towson Field again entry via an insecure patio door.
Overnight on the 4th one on Thompson Close, insecure patio door they stole a TV and took the victims car.
Between the 10-12th on West Leake Road entry was gained via a window, TV, jewellery and again the vehicle was taken with keys
On the 15th around 8:30pm on Thompson Close a suspect entered a house but was disturbed by the occupant and ran from the address.

Other Crime

Four vehicles have been broken into two on the 10th on Halls Brook and Brookfields Way and two on the 26th on Castle Hill and Gotham Road.

On 29th three local youths were found inside a premises on Rempstone Road which is due to be demolished, whilst inside they caused damage and were arrested at the scene.

On the 24th two females were arrested for racially abusing the staff at Manhatten pizza’s when they were refused free food.

A person was assaulted outside a party on 31st, on St Mary’s Crescent by an unknown suspect.

On 17th a female was assaulted by a known suspect who kicked her in the base of her back, suspect has been arrested and dealt with accordingly.

On 8th a Warrant was executed at an address on Sharpley Drive and an amount of Cannabis found, the occupant was arrested and dealt with.

A dumper truck, which was parked in the car park behind the fire station overnight on the 4th, got stuck in a ditch after it is believed suspects attempted to steal it.

A shop on Brookside had damage caused to the outer glass of a double glazed unit overnight on the 18th, it is unclear if this was an attempt to break in or just malicious damage.

Two bikes were stolen; one on the 3rd from the leisure centre after it was left insecure and the second on the 17th from a driveway on Sycamore Road.

The Co-op has had two thefts on the 23rd and 31st, CCTV has been collected and is being viewed in an attempt to identify the suspects.

Four other thefts have occurred over the last month, the first overnight on the 10th after the victim left bags on the driveway containing a laptop, the second on the 12th where unknown suspect entered the victims garden and stole two heavy duty outside door mats and a temperature and humidity transmitter.
Overnight on the 16th 100 metres of orange coloured electrical fencing and the power box from around a field on Main Street.
On 18th a section of drainpipe was stolen from the side of a house.
