would the administrator please remove the two posts below referring to fire arms. This is East Leake for goodness sake.

It's quite clear to me that the real Mr. bronson is an educated chap with a passion for grammatical correctness. This is in contrast to the riff raff impersonating him with their childish gun talk.

Once these posts are removed then this one should go too as it will serve no further purpose.

Thanks.
D.

I would also like to congratulate everybody who helped to make Saturday so successful.

A special thank you goes to the lovely lady in mauve selling plants outside my house. The roses now look beautiful in my garden.

I now cannot wait until next year, although I fear it will be a disappointment as this year's event will be near impossible to beat.

How refreshing to have the guest book used for something pleasant and relevant instead of the bad-tempered, juvenile nonsense we've been subjected to for the past few weeks. I, too, enjoyed the Carnival enormously; a number of people worked really hard to give the rest of us a lot of pleasure - they deserve our warmest thanks.

Hello everyone, it's Heather here, from East Leake Pre-school Playgroup. Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the East Leake Carnival yesterday. It was lovely to see everyone out enjoying themselves. A big Thank You to everyone who helped with the Playgroup entry, we won the trophy for Best Walking Float! Well Done to all the children for being so well behaved during the walk.

Must be quite a thick English teacher if he can't identify and understand a simple question without a question mark.

Hello again, William. The last time you posted here, you wrote, "Who are you Mr Bronson".

I was able to infer from your wording that you wish to acquire knowledge as to my identity.

Unfortunately, the omission of a question mark from the end of your inquiry made it rather difficult to understand and several minutes passed before I was able to reach this conclusion.

To me, this highlights the real importance of punctuation. In this instance it was fortunate that my expertise in language helped me to interpret your post.

Finally, in answer to your question, I am Mr. Bronson.

Oh dear me, Ray. Just as William did, you also appear to have made an unbelievably silly gaffe in your post.
May I suggest you do a little extra-curricular English grammar homework, concentrating in particular on how to pluralise words without turning them in to possessives.
Only 3/10 for you I'm afraid.

In answer to the question put by William. I don't know who Mr. Bronson is, but I think we all know what he is.

There has been a need for a decent skate board park in East Leake since my kids were teenagers almost twenty years ago! It's probably down to the Mr. Bronson's of this world that we still don't have one.

It's a long way to go, but if William finds himself in Matlock (Not Matlock Bath), then he will find that the enlightened authorities there have recently ripped up one of the tennis courts in the park and constructed what looks like a great new skate board park to me. (Not that I'm speaking from active experience).

Another comment to William.

I think East Leake needs a capital E and a capital L more than it needs a skateboard park.

When my son was a teenager,we tried without success to get one and gave up.You run up against all the authorities with a different view.Best option, get on your bike and go to Keyworth who have a good one there.Best of luck.

Perhaps 118 could make a Benny Hill spin-off and call it 'Bunny Hill'?
