There is a display of old photographs of East Leake in the Local Studies area of the library.

Courtesy of Alan Hall and the East Leake Local History Society who have recently published a couple of books of photographs depicting life and work in East Leake.

Eve Makis talks about her new book 'The Spice Box Letters'

Eve Makis will read from and discuss her latest book, 'The Spice Box Letters.'

The story explores the Armenian diaspora in Cyprus and focuses on Katerina who longs to know why her late grandmother, Miriam, refused to talk about the past.
Katerina inherits a journal and handwritten letters all written in Armenian and stashed in a wooden spice box.
On a vacation in Cyprus, Katerina finds the key to unlocking her grandmother’s secrets and discovers a family legacy of exile and loss.
