Children's Events

** BOOKSTART BEAR VISIT **

The Bookstart Bear will be joining us for our Story Hullabaloo
on Monday June 13th 2016

The Bookstart Bear will be here from 2.30 - 3.00 pm on Monday 13th June.
The Bookstart Bear is really looking forward to meeting all the children of East Leake Library.

The event is free so come along and say Hello to the very friendly BookStart Bear.

** Code Club **

Starts Thursday June 16th
4 - 5pm

Want to learn how to make games, animations and websites?
Come along to Code Club and build up your skills.

Over six weeks work on projects that build up your understanding of computer coding.

For 9-11 year olds.

Free, but please sign up as places are limited.

First session: Thursday June 16th, 4 - 5 pm

Then every Thursday, 4 - 5pm in East Leake Library.

Story Hullabaloo and Rattle Rhyme and Roll

FREE FUN FOR Under 5s!
Meet other parents and make new friends!

STORYHULLABALOO 2.30 - 3.00 pm on the 2nd Monday of the month
Listen to stories and join in with songs and rhymes.

RATTLE RHYME AND ROLL 2.30 - 3.00 pm on the
4th Monday of the month.
Have fun with your little ones. Enjoy songs and rhymes together.

NEW MEMBERS WELCOMED
Are you interested in discussing books with others?
Want to be introduced to different authors?
The East Leake Reading Group meets regularly at the library, during the day.
Contact the library for further information and the next book to be discussed.

If you would like to set up a reading group, then we can supply the books for the group and the venue.

Introduction to IT

The library offers a free, one hour basic introduction to using a mouse, a keyboard and basic word processing skills.
As a follow up there is a one hour session on how to use the internet and a one hour session on emailing.

** Scrabble Club **

Do you enjoy words? Fancy a social game of Scrabble?

Come along to the Scrabble group meeting at East Leake Library on the last Thursday of the month at 2pm.

My Sight Advisor

A My Sight advisor will be available in East Leake library to offer practical advice, demonstrations of equipment and emotional support to those with sight loss.

The Charlie Firth Collection has been beautifully bound and is now available for viewing.

Please call in. We will be delighted to make them available.

Lost Property Spring Clean

The library is having a clear out and spring clean. We have quite a lot of items that have been left in the library.
It would be lovely to reunite them with their rightful owners.

We have lots of books for babies and young children, so don't let them miss out on all the fun...borrow up to 24 books at a time!

Join your child in our "Bookstart Bear Club"
It's fun and free for all children between 0 - 4 years old....
Collect your bear stamp each time you visit then you'll receive a certificate after 6 stamps.
Please come in and ask for the Bookstart Bear Pack.
